Work in the studio is advancing. Mixing has started. Yes!

And we are putting together a big, spectacular concert for later on in the summer. So stoked!

Things are winding down in the studio. Me and Red Hearts only have a couple more tracks to do and then it’s mixing time. Yes!

Meanwhile, our show with Petals Rang the Bell was a success. Attendance was great, and we all had a good timing rocking out at the Holiday Bar!

We’re looking at booking another show in Grand Rapids in April or May so stay tuned!

I’m excited to say, our next show is looking to be mighty fine. This will be the Red Heart’s 2nd show with a horn section and our first featuring Joel Stob, of 1,000 Plateaus, on clarinet. It bears mentioning that on trumpet we have none other than Sam Kenny, a Grand Rapids favorite. We’re fine tuning our set this week and anticipate playing some awesome music for any and all at one of Grand Rapids West Side’s best bars: The Holiday Bar.

A Day at the Beach!  2 Days away!  It’s gonna be spectacular!

We’re gearing up. The big event isn’t far away. Can’t wait! JN

What a week!

A Day at the Beach! is only 4 days away. The Red Hearts and I are premiering the video for “I Drink to Calm My Shaking Hands.” And soon after we’ll have it up on the web for all to see. Pretty swell, I think.

In the meantime, Out and Down is now on Spotify in addition to Amazon, iTunes, et al. in addition to this very page. So what I’m saying is you have plenty of options.

I went shopping this past Friday to pick up decorations for A Day at the Beach! 

Beach balls, palm trees, flamingos, you name it we got great stuff to really deck out the occasion. It’s going to be awesome.

In the meantime, the band is rehearsing, and we will have horns for one of the evening’s sets.

It’s gonna be sooooo rad.

Today we got decorations and party attire underway for A Day at the Beach!

The Red Hearts and I excited for the whole event. Music, video premiere, beach attire and good vibes.
